We Take Electrical Safety Seriously

We Take Electrical Safety Seriously 1

Here at Titan Electrical , we are serious about electrical safety. Electricity is a useful tool, something we harness to power our equipment and make our lives better, but it is also dangerous. By maintaining your electrical infrastructure and identifying faults early, the chances of damage to people and property are diminished. This is why we offer a range of electrical safety services, to ensure that electricity stays where it should.

Here is a breakdown of our various electrical safety services:

Childproof Outlets

Childproof electrical outlets look just like regular wall sockets, but they have spring-loaded cover plates. These cover plates prevent anything except a properly inserted plug from touching the electrical contact points. This stops children from inserting foreign objects into the outlet, like cutlery or keys or toys. Childproof outlets are still easy to use: just insert the plug with equal pressure to both sides, and the cover plates will slide open.

Electrical Safety Inspections

Safety inspections are a thorough vetting of the electrical system in your home. This is a check of all wiring, plugs, lights, switches, grounding, and DB boards to verify that everything is in top condition. Any potential electrocution or fire hazards are identified and our electricians then provide a detailed checklist of all the issues, listed in order of importance.

Dedicated Computer Circuits

Not all buildings were wired with the power demands of computers in mind. If you have a workplace with multiple devices and a fairly high electrical demand, you could be putting strain on that circuit. A dedicated computer circuit will make sure your wiring isn’t overloaded and becoming a fire hazard, and you will have less chance of tripping the power.

Surge Protectors

Avoid electrical fires and appliance damage by using effective surge protection. Some high-end devices are sensitive to surges, and even a small surge can lead to them breaking. We install whole-house surge protectors which are hard-wired into the main DB board to reduce the damage caused by a power surge.

Circuit Breaker Replacements

Out of sight and out of mind, circuit breakers are taken for granted until a problem occurs. Older houses weren’t built with the current demand for electricity in mind, and the number of devices in our homes just keeps on growing. Old or faulty circuit breakers should be replaced with newer units that meet your power needs.

Fault Finding

Do you have flickering lights, frequently trip the power or can smell burnt plastic near an outlet or your DB board? We can help you track down the problem, be it damaged wiring or an overloaded circuit before it causes more damage.

Certificate of Compliance (COC)

If you are planning to sell or lease your property, you need a valid COC. The COC checks that all electrical installations in your home comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. If your property is found to be non-compliant, our electrician will make recommendations as to what work is required before a COC can be issued.

When it comes to safety, it is our biggest concern that your home or business is as safe as possible. We hope to hear from you soon about making everything safe.
